On Saturday 31st July 2010 Laura Gray married James Chapman at All Saints Church, West Woodburn, Northumberland. Laura’s wish was to walk from the family home north of the River Rede and to cross the river to the church on the south side. Laura’s father built a temporary bridge to accommodate his daughter’s wishes, this took many hours to make and to erect over the river. The river banks were strimmed and a path mowed down the fields that the route took. Laura wore bright red wellies for the walk changing into her bridal shoes once over the river.
